Argumentative Research Paper Topics - Water and Crust
Argumentative Research Paper Topics - Water and CrustWriting argumentative research papers must be different from writing research papers in general. The main difference is that, if you have been trying to write research papers before, this will be a new experience for you. This is because the aim of the essay is to present a logical argument to the reader. If you were to show your argument in a scientific paper, that would be very easy. However, when it comes to arguments for a research paper, it becomes a little more difficult to keep a straight argument. For example, with a research paper on how and why water is in the Earth's crust, you would need to demonstrate why the argument is true. You could say, for example, 'The Earth is about 4.5 billion years old. Therefore, the oceanic crust is made up of less than five percent of the total volume of the planet's crust.'But then, how do you know this is true? How do you show that it is the truth? Only after you have established why this is the case, can you start to show an argument.Without a logical argument, you are really stuck with just offering facts. This means that, if you are trying to argue for a research paper, you need to change the type of research paper topics you are considering. Now, what if you are presented with an idea that appears to be wrong? How do you respond to it? Should you deny the idea or should you attack it?The answer depends on how good you are at presenting ideas in your paper. If you are not a good writer, it may be difficult to stand up for ideas. But if you are quite good at presenting your argument, you will find it easier to combat ideas with logical reasoning. Thus, it can be hard to accept an idea that appears to be obviously wrong about something so basic as water being in the Earth's crust. However, if you get to a point where you are convinced that the argument is actually true, then you are well on your way to a great argumentative research paper topic.
